This is most definitely no ordinary utility ATV, and the Kodiak 700 EPS comes fully equipped to handle virtually any role around the farm, forest or industrial site. For added comfort and reduced physical effort the EPS model benefit from Electric Power Steering (EPS).

Stylish bodywork

Kodiak 700 is equipped with stylish new bodywork that gives it a purposeful and functional front face to complement its rugged and hard-working character. The newly designed front grill and front carry bar and carry bar cover convey a rugged no-nonsense appearance that underlines the Kodiak 700's tough utility specification.

Powerful and smooth running 708cc DOHC engine

Kodiak 700 is driven by a DOHC, 4-valve 708cc liquid-cooled engine that has been developed to produce an optimised power delivery to complement its hard working utility role. With its efficient 4-valve DOHC cylinder head and a compression ratio of 10:1, this big-single produces high levels of torque, making it the ideal workhorse for a wide range of jobs. The class-leading power output enables the Kodiak 700 to transport its rider plus 140kg of cargo on the racks - and tow another 600kg across extreme terrain - making it the clear choice for farmers, foresters and industrial users.

Industry leading Yamaha Ultramatic® automatic transmission

The toughest and most rugged big-bore utility ATV is equipped with Yamaha's industry-leading Ultramatic® transmission - a system that's widely recognised as being one of the best in its class. Featuring High, Low, Reverse, Neutral and Park modes that are selected via a gate-type shift lever, this durable transmission drives through a low-rpm V-belt CVT that uses a highly efficient integrated cooling fan for smooth and reliable operation.

High payload capacity

The front and rear racks on the new Kodiak 700 are designed to integrate with the compact bodywork for easy manoeuvrability in confined spaces. Manufactured from durable steel tubing with a tough black coating, the racks can carry a total of 140kg of cargo - 50kg at the front and 90kg at the rear.

Unrivalled all terrain operation

The Kodiak 700 is equipped with a rugged new chassis whose compact dimensions are ideally suited to the demands of the utility rider who may be mounting and dismounting regularly. For easy manoeuvrability over a variety of terrain, the new chassis features compact independent double wishbone A-arms and newly designed KYB shock absorbers, giving 180mm travel at the front and 230m at the rear.

Powerful and reliable braking system

At the front end the Kodiak 700 is equipped with dual hydraulic disc brakes that provide powerful and effective stopping performance with plenty of feel, allowing the rider to maintain precise control on all types of terrain, whether unladen or carrying a full payload. This versatile utility ATV is designed to operate in extreme terrain and in all weather conditions, and for strong and reliable stopping power a newly designed rear sealed wet brake is used. Protected from the outside elements, this durable and efficient rear brake is operated by the left handlebar lever and also the right side foot pedal, giving the rider high levels of control.

Yamaha Electric Power Steering (EPS)

For added comfort and reduced physical effort the Kodiak 700 EPS is equipped with Electronic Power Steering (EPS) that has been designed to offer the best balance of rider assist and positive feedback. By maintaining light steering and precise handling, this rack and pinion system enhances rider comfort, confidence and control, and also maximises this big-bore ATV’s off road capabilities.

Work light equipped (EPS models only)

For safer and easier night-time working and riding, the EPS model come equipped with a centrally mounted halogen work light.
